The Legacy of Wyoming: Celebrating Wyoming’s Role in America’s 250 Years

Join “Buffalo Bill” Boycott and Dr. Jo on a journey through Wyoming history with this live musical presentation of exciting songs about cowboys, the Oregon Trail, the Transcontinental Railroad, Lewis and Clark, and more!
Traditional Hoop Dance Performance

Experience a captivating performance of traditional Native American ceremonial dances by Jasmine Pickner Bell, a two-time world champion hoop dancer and member of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe.
Log Cabin to White House
11:45 AM–12:45 PM; Sunflower Room
Meet the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln and his wife Mary Todd Lincoln. Nationally recognized Lincoln historian and presenter John Voehl, along with Pamela Voehl will make you feel as though you are in the presence of Abraham Lincoln himself as he presents Log Cabin to White House, a historical overview of Lincoln’s life.
Colonial Fashions Trunk Show and Dancing
1:00 PM–3:00 PM; Cottonwood Room
Join Sharon Guli for a Colonial Fashions Trunk Show to learn about what everyday people wore 250 years ago! This presentation is best for children in grades 3- 6, but all children and adults are welcome to attend. We may also ask for a few volunteers from the audience to display the fashions!
After the fashion show, stay to learn some historical inspired, old-time dancing! Or, just come for the dancing! Dance Mistress Sharon will lead you through the steps, no experience required! This presentation is best for children and adults grades 3 and up, but all are welcome to attend.
The Chemical History of the Candle Demonstration
10:00 AM–2:00 PM; The Commons
Stop by and witness Professor Daniel T. Michael perform demonstrations from Michael Faraday’s 1848 seminar The Chemical History of a Candle, complete with replica scientific apparatuses!
