The Fresh Air, Freedom & Fun Festival in Evanston, WY is a long-standing event held every Fourth of July at the Bear River Greenway located near the historic downtown district. Hosted by Evanston's Parks & Recreation Department, this year's festival will be especially meaningful, as we celebrate America's 250th! The day commences with a Fun Run & Walk (free) at 8 a.m. followed by a Children's Freedom Rally Bike Parade (& bike decorating contest) at 10:15 a.m. The ticketed festival officially runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with carnival games, inflatables, a rock wall, mini golf, concert, watermelon bust with the mayor and city council, along with dozens of food and activity booths. Ten-minute boat rides at the nearby Bear Ponds and barrel train rides are also part of the fun! The Uinta County 250th Celebration Committee will also be on hand selling and giving away commemorative merchandise and prizes! Later in the evening, don't miss the incredible city fireworks show, always made special with the help of Porters Fireworks. It is ranked as one of the best fireworks displays in the Cowboy State! Before the Festival: Enjoy the July 4th Parade in the nearby (30 miles) Bridger Valley (Mountain View, Lyman, Fort Bridger).
