Niobrara County is commemorating all of its communities as part of America 250. Manville has traditionally been the location of our July 4 celebration, as it will be this year. There will be a parade, a BBQ, history presentations, and fireworks. We will also be celebrating the surrounding old communities of Keeline and Jireh. The parade will line up at 10:00. At 11:00, the parade will proceed to the city park. At the park at noon, the Manville 4th of July Benefit Group will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks. Desserts and salads will be carry-in. At 2:00, history presentations will begin in the school gymnasium. These will highlight the history of Manville, Jireh, and Keeline and the contributions of local families and town founders. Fireworks will be at dusk, weather permitting.
