Check out this award-winning documentary about the infamous Hole in the Wall during Johnson County's semiquincentennial celebration! Johnson County Tourism has coordinated with partners to present two screenings of the Hole in the Wall documentary produced by Bighorn Films in 2025. This documentary chronicles the history of the scenic Hole in the Wall portion of Johnson County and includes a segment educating visitors on recreational opportunities in this beautiful part of the country. Learn from local experts about Butch Cassidy, Nate Champion, and others who passed through this remote area, which remains one of Johnson County’s special treasures. This 70-minute film received an award at the Spark of Madness Film Festival in Pocatello, Idaho, and will be showing at the the Wyoming International Film Festival in Cheyenne. The screenings in Buffalo will mark the Wyoming public premiere for the film. First Northern Bank is sponsoring FREE admission screenings at the Buffalo Theater on semiquincentennial weekend. The first screening will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 3. The second showing will be at noon on Saturday, July 4.
