About Us

Establishment of the Wyoming Semiquincentennial Planning Task Force

To commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, Governor Mark Gordon established the Wyoming Semiquincentennial Planning Task Force. This group, consisting of up to 15 members from various state departments, educational institutions, tribal representatives, and industry organizations, will develop and coordinate events and activities to celebrate this milestone. The Task Force will collaborate with stakeholders, including the United States Semiquincentennial Commission, and operate within any funding appropriations made by the Wyoming Legislature.
